Well well well, we get the maple lovers to start the knockout rounds. Sunday July 9 in Cincy.

Guatemala won group D (huh?!).

Pretty crazy to see USA/CAN and Mex/CR quarters…definitely more like semis in days past. (This CR/Martinique game is CONCACAF crazy )

The semis will include 2 of Qatar, Guatemala, Panama, and Jamaica. Interesting tournament.

Well this is one of the weirder halves I’ve ever seen at any level. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen 12-13 minutes of stoppage in the first half

When people say soccer is “too boring”, that’s the kind of soccer they are thinking of. That was bland.

Yeah, the earlier game was 0-0 or 1-0 all game, but that one was much more interesting so far (except for the fight)
