U.S. Men's National Soccer (Official Thread)

Watched this game at a bar. The place was just as packed as it would be for a men's WC match. Such a great atmosphere.

China were a decent defensive team. Despite the fact that just one goal was scored, is was a much, much better attacking performance than the previous matches. Sure, the goal came from a header off a direct ball, but those types of attacks become less easy to defend when you show you are willing to try to break a defense down in other ways, which the US finally tried to do.

Not thst I know anything about soccer formations or how the strategy works .. But seems interesting they would change their formation in a semi final

This should have been the favored formation for this team from the start of the tournament. The central midfielders they brought don't have the right attributes to play just two women in the center like they had been doing.
