ZANESVILLE -One man was taken by Medflight, and another was in custody Sunday evening following a shooting at The Foxhole.
According to Muskingum County Sheriff Bob Stephenson, a shooting occurred in the Foxhole, located at 99 S. Maysville Ave., around 5:46 p.m.
With the assistance of the South Zanesville Fire Department, South Zanesville Police Department, State Highway Patrol and the Zanesville Police Department, a segment of Maysville Pike was closed to traffic as officers secured the scene.
The victim was taken by Community Ambulance to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital, and later taken by Medflight to a Columbus hospital.

The sheriff's office's Special Response Team was called in to the scene. However, Stephenson said "the person of interest," in the case was taken into custody in another part of the county.

Stephenson said the SRT officers completed a sweep of the business to make sure there was no one, including any other victims, inside before they cleared the scene.

Maysville Pike was closed at Main Street by the South Zanesville Fire Department. Members of the SZFD were busy redirecting traffic away from the area and keeping the curious from walking on foot or taking side roads to get closer.

The road was reopened around 7:30 p.m.
Other details surrounding the shooting were not being released Sunday evening, and Stephenson said more would be released today. The Foxhole, an exotic dance club, opened in December 2000.

I was actually at Applebees with two buddies eating and this guy at the table beside us had a Maysville shirt on and said there was a hostage situation at The Foxhole.....I fucking about spit my drink out.....I guess they closed a part of Maysville Pike for awhile...

Thump described this place to a T.......I have been there a few times...The girls are real bitches....Pregnant chicks with tatoos and smoking their Marby Lights....It is cool that you can take your own beer though..When you walk in you pay like a $10 cover charge and you take your own beer in....They supply the tubs with ice for you....You are only allowed a 12 pack per person at one time.....

The foxhole was formerly and underage dance club called "The Dome"......Back in time it actually was an old church belive it or not...

I am doing ok. They just removed the bullet. The doctor said I am lucky the bullet wasn't 2 mm to the left. I should be coming home within a couple days.

ZANESVILLE - A Dresden man charged with attempted murder in connection with a shooting at The Foxhole wants to clear his name.
Brook E. Burcham, 37, of 700 Cass St., Apt. 5, Dresden, appeared before Muskingum County Court Judge Eric Martin on Tuesday morning. Martin went over the charges that Burcham now faces - one count of attempted murder with a firearm specification and one count of unlawful possession of a dangerous ordnance.

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD><TD width=10></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>The charges stem from the Sunday night shooting of Thomas George, 44, of Mansfield at The Foxhole Exotic Dance Club.
"I'm not going anywhere because I want to clear my name of this," said Burcham, moments before Martin set his bond at $1 million cash, property or surety.
Martin decided to follow the prosecutor's office recommendation concerning the bond, despite Burcham's assurance.
"I am concerned with the continuing safety of this community," Martin said.
The count of attempted murder, a first-degree felony, carries a possible maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a maximum fine of $20,000. The firearm specification attached to the count carries an additional three years in prison, if Burcham is convicted.
The second count of possession of a dangerous ordnance is a fifth-degree felony, and carries with it a possible sentence of up to 12 months in prison.
Martin reviewed all of this with Burcham and went over the issue of retaining a lawyer. Burcham indicated that he would be filing to get a court-appointed attorney.
Burcham is accused of walking up behind George - one of the four owners of the strip club - as George was working on the club's books, authorities said. George was shot several times, including once in the head and once in the upper right side near his shoulder.
George was listed in fair condition at Grant Medical Center in Columbus as of Tuesday.
Martin set a preliminary hearing for 2:30 p.m. next Wednesday, but the hearing will be rendered moot if Burcham is indicted by a grand jury.
Chief Prosecutor Michael Haddox said he would be taking the case before the grand jury next week.
Detectives from the Sheriff's Office spent Monday at The Foxhole gathering evidence and finding the weapon, Haddox said.
No motive for the shooting has been released.
Detectives and officers with the Sheriff's Office had closed Maysville Pike Sunday evening for several hours while they swept the strip club to make sure no other injured people were inside and that the suspect had actually left, Major Brian Hoover said.
Burcham was taken into custody at his apartment Sunday evening.
He is currently being held in the Muskingum County Jail.
The Foxhole opened in Springfield Township near South Zanesville in December 2000. In November 2003, the business was sold for $100,000 to T&H of Mansfield Inc. The club reopened Monday evening.

Holy shit...I just saw the article in todays paper....I know that guy. Not personally but through the local bar scene....He is at B-dubs all the time...I thought he worked at the Foxhole actually...He is always buying shots for chicks and asking them if they want a job...I actually sat beside him one night at Dubs playing the Texas Hold'em game on the big screen....he is a very strange dude and he is always by himself....Glad he didn't pull a gat on my ass or I would have to put him in his place......

Actually, there was another article in todays greatest paper of all time....

    In a nutshell,

I was right...The guy that shot the owner was his partner..The place was closed at the time and the shotee was in there doing book work and the shooter came in behind him and had a shotgun with a rag over the end (acting as a silencer) and shot him in the head and shoulder...The guy that got shot went outside and called the cops, while the shooter was still the Foxhole..

Please explain how you shoot someone in the head with a shotgun and they don't die....Lucky guy.....
