Typical clueless cheerleader continues to cheer despite injury

The funny part of this thread is that people are attacking this young girl and calling her stupid and even worse, for moving her arms on the guerny while her head and neck were immobilized with a C-Spine. What part of "immobilzed" is defeating people? They could have tipped that guerny over and shook it and her head and neck would not have moved.

Yet, when a football player is taken off the field in the same condition, we applaud him for giving a thumbs up and waving to the crowd to let them know he's okay. We say things like "What a team player" and "What a tough sumbitch" for taking a fall and remaining heartfelt into the game.

But I guess we have different standards for the ladies.

Fucking hypocrits.

Because giving a thumbs up is kind of cool. If he had done that nobody would have cared.

Cheering on the stetcher was just plain stupid and shows how retarded his girl is (well, she was hit on the head). The fact that the media is praising her shows how fucked up society is. She deserves laughter, not sympathy.

Since you guys are so obsessed with correcting people's occassional "fat finger" misspellings, shouldn't you be using red text? Or is that reserved for Thump, since he's the teacher?

I think this is the first time I've corrected anyone's spelling on here, and I only did it to bust Thump's balls for correcting Teddy while missing a spelling error himself. Busting Thump's balls, as opposed to being a grammar cop, seems like a worthy goal to me. :)

I just used Teddy's spelling b/c I was unsure of it myself.

:tibor:

When people take such delight in the misfortune of others and constantly have to classify people as "stupid" or "retarded", I always wonder, "Did Daddy kick the living shit out of you and verbally abuse you as a child or was it Mommy?"

Of course, as a medical doctorb Tibor is above all this. He really knows that this kid was in shock, embarrassed about falling in front of thousands of people who watched in silence as they helped her, and about as frightened as a chicken facing an axe before Sunday lunch on the farm.

Thank goodness that some folks like Tibs are willing to act as beacons of culture and show us the way! If I'm ever in that position, I'll sure avoid anything other than raising the thumb. I'll also try to remember that there's a lot of humor in a kid with a neck injury who tries to show a bit of pluck!

Thanks Tibs. I feel elevated after reading this thread. :roll1:
