Didn't know that. Good stuff. Thanks. It was ruled by California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section, he would have to miss five games if he proceeded.

Without knowing the circumstances, I am inclined to agree, especially with how important social media has become to most teens. Even if Tyjon knew Smith was going to tweet that beforehand and was cool with it, the mere perception that the coach stole his thunder could have potential negative effects on other recruits. Wish the man was a bit less trigger happy on twitter, but I guess we're supposed to trust that he knows what he's doing. I doubt that any other coach on the staff would make such a tweet.Second breath: Waaaahhhhh! Zach Smith is spoiling Lindsey's announcement!

Agree 100%. Be patient and shut your mouth, or thumbs I guess in this case. Let the kid tell everyone where he is going.I hear you, but we all know what Smith was referring to. Most of us also realize how much the vast majority of teens value their moment in the spotlight. I'm not up in arms about it; just wish Coach would look up the word "tact" in Webster's.
