2026 TX WR Brock Boyd is a Buckeye!!!

Really nice pickup, welcome aboard Brock! I trust Hartline completely and this kid is a burner that with some time in the S&C program and refining his game with Hartline, he could be very good. Plus all those stats he put up were against very good competition I believe (anyone who knows Texas HS ball better than me, correct me if I am wrong).

If we can add Dixon-Wyatt to this WR class, it is another great one in the books (with the potential for a 5th WR).

Hartline must be a magician to be able to keep all those great WRs happy. Seem to recollect that there's only one ball, so what's his magic sauce? Must be that he's 'been there' with what, 10 years in the league? His teaching must be paramount, and the knowledge he imparts, which includes the little things that separate WR's (laterally as well) from the rest. The rotation seems to be limited to 4-5 in a game (unless blow-out). Wonder if his gameplan will be skewed away from the 50-50 or 60-40 Pass/Run ratio. Go Bucks!

Same HS as Quinn Ewers amongst others. Absolutely top shelf competition

He has buy-in from this players that they don't have to catch 100 passes/year or start as a freshman to be a first round draft choice.

He had three first rounders starting and two first rounders on the bench one year (assuming Egbuka goes first round).

Plus, every WR wants to play in a Ryan Day offense with a Ryan Day QB.

Per MIck Walker:
One assistant for the Dragons described Brock Boyd as “the best football player he’s seen”. Also said Boyd is the clear leader of the team, which figures to be one of the best in Texas.

Boyd also said that in the aftermath of his flip dozens of people reached out including former Ohio State quarterback, and fellow Southlake Carroll standout, Quinn Ewers. Despite his transfer to Texas, Ewers still has a lot of friends in Columbus. Boyd said Ewers spoke highly of Hartline and tight ends coach Keenan Bailey.
Boyd has already started building relationships with several future teammates. He has been in touch with four-star Pataskala (Ohio) Watkins Memorial wide receiver Jaeden Ricketts. Boyd also plans to take his official visit to Ohio State the same weekend as four-star Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei wide receiver Chris Henry Jr.
