RB James Peoples (Official Thread)

Lightfoot had a big game as a speed rusher off the edge. He was just running right past the tackle at times.

KVA had a good game, including a couple impressive plays stuffing the run.

Koi Perich was MVP. He had a ridiculous diving interception on deep pass to JJ Smith that was all but a guaranteed TD. JJ had his guy beat and ready for the ball to fall right into his hands in he end zone when Perich literally came flying in from the opposite direction, arms stretched out and snatches the ball outta the air just inches from the ground. Easily the most impressive play of the game. He also broke up another deep ball in the end zone that was otherwise a sure TD.

After watching them in action I’m really salty OSU couldn’t land any of those guys. Especially Perich. The dude is a baller and an instant upgrade at safety from day one.
Throw Warner in at DE. Yeah, I could see a lot that was left on the table and especially Perich...that kid is going to be a star.

Yeah I forgot all about Warner. So many guys on the west side were showing out I was too lazy go back and look lol Part of me wonders if the coaches would even use those edge guys correctly. We’ve seen so many guys comes thru and not shine until they got to the NFL bcuz the coaches were determined to fit square pegs into round holes. Baron Browning comes to mind first.

I kind of forgot about him too...until he dominated the AA game haha. I realize it's just one game, but dang he looked good out there. Word was we cooled off and if that's really the truth, then that was a mistake.

If anything that game showed how many guys OSU coulda had a much better shot at had they gotten in on them earlier. Maybe they can cast a wider net and identify these guys earlier? I know there are always late bloomers and whatnot every class. But the coaches can’t keep relying on just showing up late to the party and having their choice of dance partners bcuz of the letters in their shirt.
