FOUR-STAR 2025 LB ELIJAH BARNES PLANS OSU VISIT THIS FALL
One of Ohio State’s top linebacker targets in the 2025 class, four-star Texas prospect Elijah Barnes, is planning on making a game visit to OSU this fall.
“Yes sir, planning on getting down there soon for a visit and game,” Barnes told Eleven Warriors Wednesday, though he wasn’t sure of a specific date yet.
The 6-foot-2, 215-pound linebacker is considered the 100th-best prospect and the 13th-ranked linebacker in the 2025 class per 247Sports’ composite rankings. He picked up his OSU offer in May and has more than 20 Division I offers to this point.
“The offer was a blessing,” Barnes said after getting offered by OSU. “I was excited because I know how big this opportunity is getting an offer from a big-time school. Coach Jim Knowles came up here and offered me, he said that I was the type of person for their defense and that I’m the type of kid he wants to coach and that he wants to build a relationship with me.”
Ohio State commit Chris Henry Jr. has been ranked the No. 1 wide receiver in the 2026 class by 247Sports and Ryan Montgomery leaves OSU out of his top five.
