Carlon Jones will take an official for the Michigan State game.

CARLON JONES

Ohio State’s newest offer will be taking an official visit to Columbus on Nov. 11, nearly two weeks after Johnson offered him. Jones, a Nebraska commit, will get plenty of attention from Johnson on the visit, as the Buckeyes see the 6-foot-3, 270-pound defensive lineman as a perfect 3-technique candidate. OSU is the only non-Nebraska visit Jones is expected to take this month, so it will be interesting to see how the visit unfolds for both parties.

Interesting stuff on 11W forums....

This from the "THE Podcast" Text subscription, so I assume this is Birm speaking but:

Two key official visits that WON'T happen this weekend: Jordan Seaton and Carlon Jones.

Jones has a playoff game and will visit on Nov. 18th weekend instead.

Ohio State is prepping for its final gameday recruiting weekend of 2023.

Unlike the past two home games, the Buckeyes’ recruiting guest list is relatively thin, but there are still some marquee names expected to attend in the 2024, 2025 and 2026 recruiting classes.

Four-star 2024 defensive tackle Carlon Jones is the lone official visitor of the weekend, as the Nebraska commit will make his first trip to Columbus since picking up his OSU offer on Oct. 30. The 6-foot-3, 270-pound Texas product had to delay his visit by one week, but he’ll receive plenty of attention this weekend from defensive line coach Larry Johnson, defensive coordinator Jim Knowles and other OSU coaches as the Buckeyes work on flipping Jones from the Cornhuskers.

OHIO STATE 2024 DEFENSIVE TACKLE TARGET CARLON JONES DECOMMITS FROM NEBRASKA

Jones has an upcoming official visit with Ohio State scheduled for Dec. 8-10. He was offered by OSU defensive line coach Larry Johnson on Oct. 30. He was supposed to be in attendance for the Buckeyes' final home game against Minnesota, but Jones had to reschedule his visit to December.

Per 247Sports' composite rankings, Jones is considered the 410th-best prospect and the 45th-ranked defensive lineman in the 2024 class. The 6-foot-3, 285-pound prospect has racked up 95 tackles (30 for loss) with 17.5 sacks, 23 quarterback hurries and a fumble recovery for Bay City High School (Bay City, Texas) this season. In his junior year, he recorded 102 tackles (29 for loss) with 13 sacks and a pass breakup.
