It is important to remember as these things develop, that this is an eastern culture, and a very old one at that. And Hindu gods are metaphors of different aspects of us. The original Hindu Vedas were
spoken psalms long before written language. (1700-1100 BCE)

Yep! Another report has her as an incarnation of Durga(the multi-armed).
Freakin' western press don't know the difference between a elephant headed and a multi-armed goddess! :tongue2:

April 2008 the Associated Press widely circulated a report that a healthy baby girl in India has been worshipped as an incarnation of Durga, receiving up to 100 people daily to "touch her feet out of respect, offer money, and receive blessings". Lali, the daughter of Vinod Singh in Saini Sunpura, a small village in north India 25 miles east of New Delhi, was born with a craniofacial duplication, an extremely rare genetic anomaly. She has four eyes, two noses, and two mouths. Village leaders have hailed her for bringing fame to their community, and plan to build a temple to Durga.[4
