    COLUMBUS, Ohio – Welcome to the month of May when the college baseball season begins to heat up around the country. And for the Buckeyes, it’s good to be home. The Ohio State baseball team will play 11 of its final 14 games in the friendly confines at Nick Swisher Field at Bill Davis Stadium beginning with a two-game series against UAB Tuesday-Wednesday. First pitch for both games will be at 6:35 p.m. ET live on BTN Plus ($).

    The Buckeyes are 28-14-1 overall and 8-7 in Big Ten play and are coming off a series sweep at Purdue last weekend. The Scarlet and Gray hold a perfect 11-0 mark vs. non-conference opponents in Columbus. The Blazers travel to the Buckeye state with an 18-24 overall record and 10-11 ledger in Conference USA (C-USA).

    Bucks drop game 1 to UAB

    COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State baseball team fell, 6-3, against UAB Tuesday night at Nick Swisher Field at Bill Davis Stadium. With the loss, the Buckeyes drop to 28-15-1 overall, while the Blazers improve to 19-24 in 2016.

    At the plate, Troy Montgomery went 2-for-4 with a home run, RBI, two runs scored and walk, while Troy Kuhn was 2-for-5 with a RBI and Craig Nennig was 2-for-4 with a run scored. Ryan Feltner (1-3) received the loss and Tanner Graham (3-5) picked up the win for the Blazers. Thomas Lowery notched his eighth save of the season.

    Bucks earn split with a 12-3 victory over Alabama-Brimingham

    COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State baseball team rebounded with a 12-3 win over UAB Wednesday Night at Nick Swisher Field at Bill Davis Stadium. With the win, the Buckeyes improve to 29-15-1 overall, while the Blazers drop to 19-25 in 2016.

    "It was a good win to bounce back, we didn't play very well last night but I thought we played solid baseball tonight," head coach Greg Beals said. "We pitched the ball pretty well. We were able to get Mosbarger and Stoll deep into the game to set up our bullpen guys. We had a lot of quality at-bats and played clean defensively. It was a win that we really needed today after last night's loss. We need to continue to compete and keep it rolling into the weekend."
