In the 80s did some field work between Rifle and Grand Junction. Boss made us stay in Rifle because “there were too many distractions in Grand Junction.” We proved that you can get just as drunk in Rifle as you can in Grand Junction. Csb.

Yes. I was on a work trip in Rifle once and actually stayed at The Rusty Cannon Motel, which had some sort of vinyl-like covers on the mattresses ... presumably for Kum and Goers. An impromptu tailgate broke out among our group in a nearby parking lot.

No. If one is a client of The Rusty Cannon Motel, one probably does not want to look at oneself or one's paramour in a mirror ... Can't remember if it had a coin-operated device to make the mattress vibrate. I once stayed at a motel that had that, but I don't think it was that one.
