NBC's The Office won't be finished after this season, especially if it continues to get good ratings on "Must-See TV". It was only the BBC version that was finite from its conception, with 12 episodes and a 2-hour special looking back at the characters from a couple years later.

In fact, NBC just signed up The Office for another 22-show season for 2006-07. :groove:

It's more than Guinness commercials (Irish BTW). One of my fiances good friends is British. I've never met her so I asked my fiance if she says "brilliant" a lot. The response, "Actually yes she does." From what I can tell instead of all of the words that we say like cool, great, awesome, etc. Brits say brilliant. Not to gay up myself, but I noticed that in the Harry Potter movies and Bend it like Beckham

That may have been true for the first season, when the NBC version used virtually the same script as the original, which was very limiting for the actors involved. Now, in the second season, the American actors have been able to develop more unique personalities for their characters, and I find it much funnier than the original. "Cringe humor" only goes so far, and you need to have characters you care about to maintain the interest past a single season.

Last time ABC had the Super Bowl they has an extra sexy beginning to the Alias that followed it, probably the best episode ever. I don't watch Grey's, but I did watch it with my fiance yesterday while we ate dinner. I had to Tivo 3 shows to get the whole episode for her on Sunday. She never would have figured it out if I hadn't been there. BTW if a dude has an unexploded bazooka round in his chest run away and let him die!!! Sandra Oh my god she's ugly ruined the foursome scene for me. Can't say I'll ever watch it again. If you want sexy watch Nip/Tuck.

Arrested Development. It got cancelled, but my g/f got me the DVD's for Christmas. I just started watching them the other day, and now I see what all the hype was about. It's probably the funniest show (well, next to Seinfeld) I've ever seen. I don't know how it never picked up a bigger audience.

My British friends do say "brilliant" often.

Maybe Thump's exposure with all the Brits in Grove City is with Brits from a different region of Britain.

Oh, and exhawg, you have definitely caught teh ghey. It's too late. I'm sorry.

Of course, unless you are a perv like me and think that Hermione is going to be hot when she turns 18. . .
