Tuscaloosa loves the Buckeyes!

Actually, looking at that ranking, it strikes me as having at least some legitimacy. We could quibble about picking this category instead of that one, or using this ranking service instead of some other, but generally speaking, I think the final list is a good one - not far off of what I might rank programs "all time" or whatever.

The fact that OSU is #1 helps. :wink2:

Interesting too that Army and Navy haven't eroded so much as to put them outside the TN Top 25, and also Big Ten is top three in attendance records. I agree that for an "All-time" poll, it seems reasonable and tries to be unbiased. Well, as much as you can coming out of Tuscaloosa anyway. Obviously, not any indication of how a Top 25 poll for this upcoming 09-10 season should be, but I like the "all-time" approach. I believe I saw a piece on this last year, from the TN and like Woof said, it is a good read. Nice that the staff seems to be trying to be as unbiased as possible, even while taking their shots at the Big XII.

"?Coach Jim Tressel always preaches that every yard versus Michigan is worth two yards,? running back Chris ?Beanie? Wells said after the win."

Next *ichigan practice...
RR: Folks, you know, I always say a yard versus Ohio State is worth THREE yards!

Not really seeing as the Big10 has the three largest stadiums. (possibly 3 of the 4) I don't know how large Tennessee's is compared to OSU.

Their renovations over the last couple of years increased luxury suites but dropped the official capacity below that of the 'Shoe. Here are the attendace figures for '08 from the link in the first post:

1. 108,571 Michigan
2. 108,254 Penn State
3. 104,976 Ohio State
4. 101,448 Tennessee
5. 98,046 Texas

If they did the attendance figures at the end of the game scUM would not be #1.
