Speaking of gaming headsets, I use Sony's PS3/PS4 sets on PC and they are great, though the virtual surround is just for consoles. The sound is very good, and they are comfortable. They don't block much outside noise, but I like that as I wear them much of the day and still need to know what is going on around me. I can usually charge them over meals and they are good most of the rest of the time, but I also wear them with a 6 ft. charging cord attached if I know I will be in one place for awhile.

The first one died after 2+ years because I am pretty rough on them, and the charger stopped connecting after a few thousand hours of near-constant use; probably the equivalent of 8 years of normal use. I accidentally smashed the receiver of the second one under a chair, d'oh, so now I am using the newer model. The cord is not as well placed for use when wearing - hits the shoulder a bit. But it also comes with a 3mm standard audio jack, and the more streamlined headset folds to fit into a carry bag, so it's good for use with a phone, too.

These don't go on sale often, but I've seen the older one drop into the 70s from the 90s very rarely, and into the 50s at least once (which is how I bought them the first time). I have an alert set up so I can buy them if they go under 60 again, either as backup or a Christmas gift.
