I don' t know Brent, that WVU had some pretty good talent.Sloopy45 said:BuckeyeNation27: "i compare this years purdue to last years west virginia."
I think '05 Purdue has way more talent than '04 WVU. But the National perception of, "No one on the schedule, so they MUST go undefeated," is the same for both teams.
That perception has been proven wrong season after season. Only the top dawgs are able to run the table. All the 2nd tier teams will get upset somewhere along the way. Just look at Whisky last season.

I thought that was the point, they had talent (you said Pudont has more, which is what I was saying "they [WVU] had some talent" to) but vastly underachieved - which is what I thought we were all predicting for Purdont. KayJay Harris and Jason Colson were the real deal, Rasheed Marshall was a decent QB (mobile, anyway) and their #1 who's name escapes me (was it Lee?) was able to put up some numbers. Pac Man Jones was quality...Sloopy45 said:Buckeyeskickbuttocks: "I don' t know Brent, that WVU had some pretty good talent."
I wasn't very impressed with them at all last year. They barely beat an average Maryland team early in the season, but other than that they had nothing close to a quality win the rest of the way, lost to Va Tech & Pitt, & got spanked by BC & FSU.
At least Purdue can stand toe to toe with the heavyweights in the Big Ten. Heck, they even beat us last year.
