ttun Shenanigans, Arguments, and Emasculated Cucks (2019 thread)

It's their only somewhat chance. They still cant run the ball at all against anyone with a pulse, might as well chuck it up a bunch of times and hope you strike luck a few times
You're right. They have two good WR, their best chance is hoping the zebras don't call holding on pass plays. If they do let tOSU's DL get held...it will be a close one. If they call holding, we get to see Chase flash a Heisman pose.

Notice that Okudah's name was hardly mentioned during the PSU game? They will have one available WR on Saturday - whichever Okudah isn't covering.

Also, I can't recall the last time someone was called for holding Young. He is too fast and too strong to draw a penalty.

Okudah, Young, Dobbins, Olave, Fields - all are arguably the best at their position in all of CFB. And the OL as a unit also fits that description.

What a team.

(OK, I love Olave, but Jerry Jeudy would win that argument.)

Well going by last week, it is allowed to blatantly hold Chase Young.

1. They did open a can of whup ass on a decent Notre Dame team. 2. They had a scary good second half against Penn State on the road. 3. Shea’s a decent runner and a qb who can run can hurt this defense. 4. Donovan Basketball - Jones is a solid receiver who can take it to the house. 5. Decent tight end and second receiver. 6. Game in Ann Arbor. 7. Nothing to lose. 8. Series filled with major upsets on both sides.

I see this as a fight to the very end with the Bucks eventually wearing down the Michigan defense.

I fully agree that this is an amazing Buckeye team, and I am well aware of Okudah's dominance. I'm just more in the camp of cincibuck where I don't see this one as a blowout. I would love it to be a blowout, of course, but I'm hesitant to think that tOSU won't get the best version of the Wolverines this Saturday.

I don't see blow out as likely either. This is a winnable game for UM.

But so many things would have to go right for them. And I just don't see how they will move the ball. Patterson is not a serious running threat and has yet to show he can throw under pressure - he has had tons of protection the past few weeks. Every team we play has to deal with a DL that is unlike any they have faced all year. Their running game? Can't see it. But that doesn't mean shut out.

We almost got "Cardale Jones'd" against PSU. Levis was a very different runner than we were ready for. If they mix in a little DCaf they might present some issues. Not enough to go crazy but enough to put points on the board. I don't think that will happen - but who knows.

Their D is solid and if Brown can confuse Fields it would slow us down. But even with that, short passes and the running game should be enough. (Although #33 needs to show up this week.) To slow down our running they need to expose our OL as being something less than we think they are. I don't think there is anything to be exposed.

The forecast is crap and that should hurt them more than us, but it is always a wild card.

Beyond that I have one overwhelming concern. Twice in the past few years they have taken our QB out of the game. That will be at the top of their game plan. Barring that, whether we go aggressive or conservative I don't see them staying with us. I want a win. Would love a blow out. But I want a win. A one point win with a couple of bad calls going our way would be perfect. I'll take that or 51-14.

The only thing that worries me is Justin’s health and their WRs ability to win jump balls consistently.

Nico Collins is probably the best contested pass catcher in college.
I said it earlier, and i'll say it again... if it's the plan to throw deep balls to Collins and/or Bell, they're gonna be in for a long afternoon. Shelia will not have that kind of time. That's not to say your observation about Collins and 50/50 balls is wrong, just doesn't strike me as a winning strategy against this Dline/Secondary.

I agree with everything you said. However, if the officials bury their whistles in their pockets like they did against PSU, Sheila might be able to complete a few long(ish) passes. In any case, it won't be enough.

You’re not wrong.

D-line was still getting immense pressure despite the holding. The longest pass play given up was a slant to Hamler if I remember correctly.
