They aren't going to repeat this years 10 game run against air.

Next September they have to play Army, at Wisky and Iowa

In October they have at Penn State and ND back to back

In November they have to deal with Sparty, at Indiana (who gives them fits) and OSU

That 6 game stretch starting with Wisky and ending vs ND has 4 legitimately loseable games for them.
I see them losing to ND and the Bucks - Sparty has had their run, Wisky? Short of a great running back, I don't see much there. Penn State? Something tells me Franklin's boat has sailed. Maybe in brings in a boatload of talent on NLOI day, but he loses McSquirrely. In short, I don't see much of a change in college football period. Parity seems to me to be eroding. The drop off in size and talent from Alabama to Oklahoma, from Clemson to Notre Dame, from Ohio State to Michigan, was enormous.

reminds me of how Urban walked in and started bringing in elite coaches from other schools with a scorched earth mentality. loving this so far.

This. When coach Meyer first got to Ohio State, he said his goal was to have the best coaching staff in the country. He hit several home runs, but struck out a couple times too, two in particular, he struck out looking.

But Day looks well on his way to putting together a very, very good staff.

True - but Urban was Urban.

Ryan Day is a first year HC. Yes, it is OSU, but what he is doing speaks volumes about who he is.

I will knock on wood as I type this - but in a few years OSU may need to give him half the athletic budget to keep him out of the NFL.

We shall see. They are going to be paper thin on the interior DL and lose a TON on defense overall.

If Jimmy still insists on body blowing people to death offensively and doesn't have a (supposed) top tier defense to bail him out, it could get really fun/interesting.

I think he'll lose a couple before The Game and be in all kinds of hot water with the Walmart faction of the fanbase when the Bucks roll into AA.

If he ends up with say 3-4 losses next year and can't beat Day, katy bar the door. It will get nuts.
