Mgoblog is Harbrau's Ministry of Excuses. Rainman could drop his khakis and start furiously masturbating midway through the first quarter and they'd say it was a motivational tool.

A lot of this on the MGOBoard

Urban Meyer took over a 6-7 team on probation and went 12-0.

"That's like, when I got here, everybody wanted me to say Jim Tressel left the cupboard bare," Meyer continued. "If I heard any assistant coach [say that], they'd be gone. You're done."

"Those are your players. I hear TV guys [say], 'Wait until they get their own players in there.' They're our players. What do you mean 'their players?' The minute you sign a contract, they're your players.

"You didn't choose me, I chose you. You're mine, absolutely. I love you, and I'm going to kick the shit out of you, and we're going to do it right …

"[Blaming players] drives me insane."

Yielding back the balance of my time ...

This is becoming a trend with the harbrau. His best success comes early on with a roster that he had little input into, then the results become more and more underwhelming.

In SF, he took a roster of solid players that were poorly coached and wrung 13 wins out of them. Year two, gets them to the SB. By year three, as he had more of a stamp on the personnel, flaws began emerging. Year four, the wheels came off. Struggled with his biggest rival (SEA) the whole time.

At scUM, he takes over a roster of well regarded recruits that were poorly coached and wrung a surprising ten wins out of them. Year two they blast out of the gate climbing to #2 in the polls before collapsing down the stretch. Year three, serious flaws are emerging. His one saving grace might be that he has a brilliant DC. But the offense is baaaaaad. No qb, mediocre OL, okay RBs (I’m not wowed by Higdon going off on Indiana), and nothing at WR. The D should be nasty again in year four, but they have a lot of work to do on offense. If he’s 1-5 against MSU/OSU going into next year, he WILL begin to feel some serious pressure. He falls to 1-7, or even 2-6...all bets are off.

Scum is gonna pull this off, or at least cover the spread. Penn States schedule thus far is a joke. Their offense will be exposed when they play a team that can take away Barkley, the best defense they've played this year is....Indiana. Harbro just has to figure out how to keep O'Korn from cocking it up.

It's gonna be a weird 11-9 type score.

Make up your mind.
