Good call Jax.

Really?

Saying we have some good talent coming back = big ten domination

Too funny

This team next year should be top 4 big ten team, still not good enough to win the big ten, but should compete for around 3rd.

Did anyone think they would even have a chance at NCAA bid?

You realize they have the same conference record as the #7 seed, right? So I'm correct in saying that while on the one hand they've tied for #4 in the league this year, on the other hand they've also tied for #7 in the league this year--there's three teams better than them and 4 teams worse.

I consider that fairly good considering the rest of the B10 and the NCAA at large....AND considering that TSUN has been bottom-of-the-barrel bad for a while now. But in the end, you and I are splitting hairs since they'll like return to that same bottom of the barrel very soon.

Talent level may have been down, but Michigan played well against the toughest teams. ...

Morris 6-4 PG
Hardaway 6-5 SG
Horford 6-9 PF
Smotrz 6-9 SF
Morgan 6-8 C
This is the most talented lineup I can recall suiting up in Ann Arbor for several years, Smotrxzvwzxz notwithstanding. And quite large.

If Beilein can't win with these guys in the B1G, he can't win in the B1G. (Not win at Buckeyes level, mind you, but win at the top-3 level, beating Purdue in the post-JJ/E'TM years.) The next couple of years will essentially be a referendum on Beilein IMO.

HUH? Outside of the Big East there is no other conference that is better than the Big Ten. This is the toughest this conference has been in awhile, next year will be a down year for the league.
True generally, but this was truly a year of the Three Great Bigs, Five Fairly Littles and Three Awfuls (although our Awfuls were much better than the bottom dwellers in the other BCS conferences). Certainly no league had a top three to match Ohio State, Purdue and Wisconsin - not the Big East nor anyone else.

Big game for scUM tomorrow in the BTT against Illinois. A win would definitely put them in the tournament IMO . A loss, I'm not so sure. I said a week ago that if they beat MSU but lost in the first round of the BTT, they'd be out. It'll probably depend on how other bubble teams fare this weekend. One thing's for sure--Colorado punched its ticket this afternoon by winning its second game of the Big XII tournament over ranked Kansas St. Marquette punched its ticket last night too with a win over WVU. UM's biggest problem is lack of quality wins, and a 19-13 record if they lose tomorrow--their best wins by far are two over MSU, and yet somehow commentators are still saying that MSU looks like the better team right now in terms of who will make it to the tournament.

UM just punched its ticket. If it were not UM, I'd give them credit for coming back from 11-9 at one point this season to now be 20-12. Because it is UM, I still have got to point out the fact that the NCAA tournament has become really watered down, given that UM is getting in without any good wins.

I hate to say this but UM will beat OSU on Sat. by about 10! Bucks will win 1 then lose in the big dance.

Outstanding! Now I can be confident in another OSU victory over UM & a deep tourney run given the accuracy of your last predictions - that PSU would beat OSU (another prediction that you said you hated to make, ultimately a game the Bucks won by 21), and that OSU would be 3-3 in their last 6 games of the regular season (for the record, they went 5-1 in those 6).

I agree that "it would be nice" to have the #1 overall seed, but #2 overall seed isn't much different. And if we win out, we'll be no worse than that, regardless of what anyone else does.

No way we when out, I see a likely 3 and 3 over the next 6.
apparently.
