It took awhile, but whatever was in the B1G’s water this tourney finally got to SCUM.4 missed layups and missed free throws down the stretch with the opportunity to pull ahead of a much lower seeded team that was also in a black hole offensively. Michigan basketball point guard Mike Smith declared for the NBA Draft on Wednesday afternoon.
I can just see him playing PG in the NBA.
Just sayin': In all fairness to Mike Smith, he was a 5th year Senior and has a degree from Columbia. I'd laugh at Smith if he actually came back to scUM for a 6th year. At some point in every college basketball player's life it time to move on from college. Smith is at that point. Declaring for the draft is really a mute point. I doubt that he gets drafted by an NBA team. Maybe get can get a 6 figure contract to play ball in somewhere Europe; if not, let's hope his degree from Columbia is better than a General Studies degree from scUM and can get a decent job in "Corporate America".
