There were some reports on the internet that claimed Turgeon told Howard “don’t hang the banner because your banners come down,” which would have been a reference to Howard being a part of the “Fab Five” and the infamous Michigan basketball scandal.

Just sayin': Look at the upside for Juwan Howard here, now he never has to worry about any 2021 Final Four banners being taken down......:lol:

Just sayin': In all fairness to Mike Smith, he was a 5th year Senior and has a degree from Columbia. I'd laugh at Smith if he actually came back to scUM for a 6th year. At some point in every college basketball player's life it time to move on from college. Smith is at that point. Declaring for the draft is really a mute point. I doubt that he gets drafted by an NBA team. Maybe get can get a 6 figure contract to play ball in somewhere Europe; if not, let's hope his degree from Columbia is better than a General Studies degree from scUM and can get a decent job in "Corporate America".
