I agree. And my post wasn't saying we need to move on from Holtmann. He has us playing a little above our historical norm.
Much of our fanbase experienced the dizzying highs of the first half of Matta's career. What too many don't realize is that Matta was a unicorn. Chances of finding another guy like that aren't great, especially at a football school whose fanbase treats basketball as a convenient distraction from football when the team is winning. Not saying finding a coach that can repeat, or st least approach Matta's success is an impossility; just that it won't be easy. You know what you have in Holtmann...and it isn't bad, but moving on wades into unknown waters.
