Let me get this straight.

We're unreasonably biased because we think a team that went 3-9 last year could possibly finish worse than 6-6 this year?

I hope all you guys who want scUM to be good again for the sake of the rivalry or whatever the hell are reading this kind of shit. NEVER give these arrogant cock smokers a break. Never. 3-9 last year with a loss to the second worst team in the MAC and they are still running their suck holes.

Last year at this time we were biased and out of our minds because we felt TSUN was only a 7-8 win team at best. Their fans were convinced they could not win less than 9 games a year ago. They sure showed us, we clearly let our scarlet colored glasses cloud our judgement.

Last year TSUN fans were arguing with us that they would win more than 8 games, this year they are arguing with us that they will win more than 6. What a difference a year makes. If at first you don't succeed, lower your expectations.

I must apologize for it taking me this long to respond to your question. In all honesty, I forgot that this thead even existed, let alone that I had posted in it.

However, to answer your question, as far as, "what leads you to believe they will win only 5 games". I do not share your optimism, as far as the OOC schedule is concerned. As much as you may not want to believe it, WMU is ENTIRELY capable of winning that game. You will lose to ND. Period. As much of a joke as they have been, they are still far and away a better team right now, and will likely still be, by the time y'all play. You guys should, SHOULD, manhandle Delaware ST. and EMU. Beyond that. there are no gimmees. You probably will beat either Indiana or Purdue, maybe both, as well you should, but I suspect that you lose to MSU and Wisconsin. I just don't see 6 wins as feasable. If I had to guess, I would say 4-8 or 5-7, at best, this year. You guys are in a SERIOUS rebuild mode right now.

On paper, Delaware State, Eastern, Western, Indiana, and Purdue are all relatively easy victories, and Ohio State and Penn State are both solid losses. UM should split their other rivalry games with Notre Dame and Michigan State, and they should win one of their remaining three against Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin (all road games). So, I say 7-5, but I could also see 5-7 if things start to go south early, or if there are just too many distractions. 8-4 in the regular season with a bowl win against someone like Ole Miss would be a dream season for the Wolverines.
