TSUN +4.5 vs Miss St (ov/un 59.5) 1-1, 1:30 ET, Gator Bowl

i can't bring myself to root against them. What if the lose and he's not fired? then where would I be.

I'm leaning towards him being gone regardless, especially with Tate being ineligible. Brandon can just use that on top of everything else in regards to wanting the focus to be on academics and not bring in the borderline recruits.

unless Harbaugh doesn't come, then maybe they retain him.

Seems silly that you'd sit there and wait to fire him until after the bowl game if the results of the game wasn't going to be

What if the plan was to fire him but Michigan wins the game by 20+? Seems like it would be pretty difficult to fire him after he's built momentum going into the offseason.

Same thing if the plan was to keep him but Michigan loses big. Might force a change.

I'm not saying its a smart way to decide it, but Brandon is pretty much leaving it opened to be influenced almost exclusively by the bowl. There is a reason you fire the coach before the bowl game most of the time if they aren't up to par. I suspect if Michigan at least keeps the game close they'll retain RR.

Maybe Brandon is finding out that their is a little bit more pressure at Michigan then there is in the pizza business. Seems like he's scared to make the decision here.

scUM would save 1.5 million if they fire RR after Jan 1 2011

Oh, well then it would make perfect sense

could be. could also be that he doesn't want to fire RR and then find out that Harbaugh isn't interested. Then we're scrambling again.

You'd think they'd at least KIND of know that by now..they might not have details ironed out..but you'd think they'd at least test the waters with the guy, even if he wants it to be hush hush prior to Stanford's bowl game.
