TSUN 28, Michigan St. 24 (final)

I went with TSUN...

Poor MSU. Jeez. Two opportunities to clinch the bowl game. They just had to beat a lowly Northwestern team coming off of two beatdowns from OSU and MSU, or beat a reeling Iowa team. Instead, all they served to do is give life to those teams.

Mike Hart's three games against Sparty in his career...

Freshman year: 33 carries, 224 yards, 1 TD, 5 receptions, 19 yards
Sophomore year: 36 carries, 218 yards, 1 TD, 2 receptions, 6 yards
Junior year: 22 carries, 122 yards, 0 TD, 1 reception, 10 yards

I'm thinking Mike does well against MSU so far. I'm also thinking he continues it with a 200+ yard game this weekend.

Considering MSU's run defense I think you may be onto something. The let Iowa back into the game via run, Beanie just ate them up, so even if Hart only plays a half I think he'll get a good ammount of yards.

That being said, MSU will be fired up but I don't know if that will help them very much, they need a good victory to complete their season, I just don't think they are going to get it on Saturday.

OSU fans couldn't ask for anything more than Hart and his ankle getting 30+ touches a game the next two weeks.

True - I think it is the rush ends that will give Henne some difficulties.

And their running game
I think Saint-Dic plays Long's side. So at least there, I'm not as worried.

But honestly....I'm as confident as ever about this game, and it doesn't have anything to do with matchups on the field. MSU just hasn't proven they're anything but the old MSU. These are the same Spartans that choked away a big lead in the 2004 game. Same Spartans that were the butt of jokes for being Central Michigan's bitch for a few years. Same Spartans that my own dear old grandmother laughed at for wearing uniforms that looked like a style of dress her mother used to wear. Might not be the same players inside the uniforms, but they wear the same stripes.

I'm not saying this as the arrogant Michigan fan, either....State fans will tell you the same thing. Believe it or not, some of them want to fire Dantonio already, and he hasn't even lost to Michigan yet, nor has he smacked himself at a press conference.

On the play against tOSU where Saint-Dic forced a Boeckman fumble that was returned to make the score 24-14, he came through the right side of the O-line, so he won't always be trying to get around Long.

Forgive me, but that's what people said about Minnesota, Purdue, Illinois, and Northwestern.

Minnesota sucks. We had already exposed Purdue as frauds. Illinois is a Zook-coached team. Northwestern is, well, Northwestern.

A shitty Eastern Michigan team put up 300 yards and 20 points on you on your turf. Michigan still isn't near the defense they were last year...

I've learned that whenever people start a sentence with "But honestly", they are either lying outright or trying to convince themselves of something. :wink2:
These are the same vulvarines that lost to a 1-AA team, right? I like MSU's chances in this one. Their season hasn't gone the way it should have, but I have yet to see them give up this year. Every other year they simply don't show up for 2 or more games and get pasted by teams they should beat. Losing 4 games by 27 points combined isn't the same Spartans...losing 2 or 3 games by 27 points each was the problem before. Of the two teams playing in this game, only scUM has thrown in the towel during a game this season.
I'd go all in on Sparty, but I've only 104 bones and they're going on the Buckeyes.

Northwestern is, well, Northwestern.
But they did beat MSU.

Point being that Michigan was supposed to falter against Purdue's spread, against Illinois' rushing attack at a hostile environment, against Northwestern's spread, and so on.....and then after the game...."Wellllll....those were just crappy teams." I smell the same old story coming up on Saturday, because Michigan State is a crappy team.

Of the two teams playing in this game, only scUM has thrown in the towel during a game this season.
Well, if Michigan State was trying their damndest and still lost to Iowa and Northwestern (at home), then the fact is they're just bad, which sounds exactly like the same old Spartans to me. I don't need to convince myself of this, it's glaringly obvious to anyone who's watched any MSU football this year.

Tsun is on a mission, not to mention that horrible run defense that State has, I thikn Hart may get 200 yards in the first half. The only question I see is the scUM secondary, a couple quick picks could deflate MSU and put this game away.
