Truck=2, Crossing Guard and 8 Year old=0

The fact that he was able to leave skid marks is a key note. Its was a fucking school zone, with an elementary school starting in five minutes. Fucking Dump truck drivers. I've seen so many of them drive those things like Miatas, running stop signs, and flying around. Unreal

The road construction crews in that area are down right dangerous. I live right next to the Roberts Rd Hilliard-Rome Rd intersection and it's not going to be too long before they kill someone. I'm lucky enough to leave before they start, but my gf leaves for work when they're starting shortly after seven in the fucking morning. They are negligent when moving their equipment, moving dump trucks and other large vehicles in and out of rush hour traffic, on an already fucked up road, without looking where the fuck they are going. I know that these guys aren't the most intelligent people, but negligence and reckless driving cannot be tolerated with these fuckers.

rant continued...
On the way to work today, I was doing 70 mph on I-70 and had my doors blown off by a dump truck that proceded to weave in and out of traffic after he passed me.

Truck made even heavier by the huge load of rock in the back too. Pretty early to be drunk off your ass driving a dump truck. Unless it was just mortal stupidity. Or both. :(

My sympathies to you Scooter for even having to see that.

Thanks. Its the only reason I'm still awake. I've blown up tanks with people in them for a living, and that didn't phase me. This did.

Update: crossing guard has died from her injuries

Sorry to hear about your frat brother. My whole family almost met the same fate two years ago on the road along side Tuttle Mall. We were turning left into the mall and a dump truck blew the stop sign. If I hadn't recognized his speed coming around the corner, my wife and oldest would have taken the impact of the T-Bone

Looks like WBNS just updated the story...

The Hilliard Police chief told 10TV News that he credited Sharp with saving the boy's life. A witness said she saw Sharp push the boy out of the way.

Medics rushed the boy to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus where he was alert and talking, Kocot reported.
What an ultimate sacrifice for Sharp to give her life to save another... and great to hear the boy is responsive. Thoughts and prayers to the Sharp family...

It didn't seem to me that the boy avoided the impact entirely. But maybe she was a lot stronger than I gave her credit for. The kid landed quite a ways away from the truck.

Sometimes, instinct takes over, and protecting those around you is a reaction, not a thought. This was this woman's mission everyday, to protect those kids. God Speed Diane Sharp.

The crossing guard was airlifted to The Ohio State University Medical Center where she died from her injuries.

She was later identified as Diane Sharp, Kocot reported.

Diane Sharp died a hero. May she RIP. :(

I hear ya, I've literally killed thousands in Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare, sometimes I ask myself, what am I doing...all this bloodshed? Then I remind myself that these guys are terrorists and we don't negotiate with terrorists.
