Since I've already 'fessed up to being a geek, here are a few out of the dozens that came from an old, geeky computer game. (Bonus to anyone who can name the source!) None of them are too hard, but perhaps you haven't all heard them.
Black when bought.
Red when used.
Grey when thrown away.
Names give power,
Magic to control.
But what is broken,
by naming it?
Our valiant leaders will keep this.
But only after they have given it.
Pounds all day,
Beats all night,
Never rests.
The chill of its death,
You may soon mourn.
But though it dies,
It cannot be born.
