I'm stumped by the eskimo analogy...

the eskimo analogy i encountered in an advanced intelligence test. the test was so difficult that correctly answering 50% of the questions was above the 99th percentile for the general population. a standard iq test accurately measures intelligence only to a certain level. this test, among others, differentiates those within the 2% or so.

Wow - capitalization! You've made this Deputy Grammar Nazi proud. :)
hmm. not capitalizing in this forum is not a matter of grammar but instead a matter of style. strictly speaking, capitalization is not a matter of grammar; it is a matter of usage.

princess, i mentioned before that i read dictionaries and enjoy learning difficult words. i also read grammar textbooks for fun. the college course i most enjoyed was a graduate level grammar course.

i've noticed that at least a few posters have mentioned that they're self-appointed grammar nazis. present company not included, these supposed grammar nazis make numerous grammar mistakes.

Sorry, my job keeps interfering with my posting. Or should I say my Thump-stalking. Anyways, 21 was right, it was a submarine that was diving. And yes, they are called ships. Here's another:

A woman shoots her husband.
Then she holds him under water for over 5 minutes.
Finally, she hangs him.
But 5 minutes later they both go out together and enjoy a wonderful dinner together.
How can this be?
