Trip/tailgating ideas

Myself and a few friends (at the serious urging of some of our Buckeye friends) will be in town for the Akron game. Can anyone suggest a hotel within walking distance of the stadium, or more importantly, an alocohol permissible tailgating lot??

How much do you have to spend?

On campus you have the Blackwell.
On Lane you have the Holiday Inn
Farther afield, but still within what some call walking distance are the more econmy budget motels like the Fairfield Inn or Red Roof Inn. There is of course always the Varsity Inn.

Map, click on the business tab (underlined) and enter the word Hotel. The Green arrow remains focussed on Ohio Stadium, and the red lettered balloons are the hotels.

Alcohol permissible tailgating is somewhat at your risk, though it happens a lot. If you really cannot find a tailgate lot permitting the same then HineyGate or the many bars up and down Lane and High are your only recourse.

The Varsity Inn is a 15-minute walk to the stadium and is literally right next door to the Buckeye Hall of Fame Cafe.
