Trick Plays (Split from Saine Thread)

BGriffBuckeye

Haaaang on Sloopy, Sloopy Hang on!! O.. H.. I.. O.
I would not mind AT ALL to see him as the slot WR and Chris Wells at RB on the field at the same time, or both coming out of the backfield. We could run so many trick plays with that. Defenses wouldn't know what to do.

Oh please don't start that conversation...please. For the sake of all decent football discussion, please leave trick plays out of the equation.

:wink2:

Put in other words; does Tressel open up the offense a little? I expect Teddy to go pro ASAP so i don't think we will ever have the privilege of seeing him and Brandon on the field together. Also the Michigan board is not taking the news of Brandon's verbal at all well.

OMG - MichiganMan113 says, "but you can't argue that Michigan has more depth than OSU as of right now."

Depth in pure numbers or quality depth?
I certainly will argue that OSU has greater quality depth and Saine committed to us anyway.
I guess he thinks Grady is as good or better than C Wells?
All 4 of our TBs have much greater breakaway ability than Hart.
Mister Simpson? give me a break! Word was that he was higher on the depth chart than the other two freshman, and the two seniors are buried as well.

Thanks for that Mili because I finally found a quote that backs up my previous assertions about what a fine, all-round guy IVoyd is.

"True loyalty is that quality of service that grows under adversity and expands in defeat.
Any street urchin can shout applause in victory, but it takes character to stand fast in defeat.
One is noise - the other, loyalty."

~Fielding Yost~

So, you see. I was right! IVoyd is building character. He's much more focused on building the entire man, not just on the smaller goal of inconsequential wins on a football field against Ohio State. He knows the difference between noise and loyalty, first-hand!

I guess this also explains why TSUN are expanding their stadium, they need to respond to all that "expanding quality of service".

Say all you want about that fine man, but Fielding Yost is TSUN's tradition and I say IVoyd "gets it". :slappy:

What cracks me up about the UM thread is the insistence by SonofJorEl to post his forward estimate of Saine's ranking (his take 3 or 4 star) in each reply he makes to the thread. Perhaps it helps him sleep at night - who knows.

Wonder if it is worth someone's effort to remind them of a disinterested parties rating on Saine - as a Junior.

Emfinger - 2005 Junior rankings 2005 for RB

6.51 Brandon Saine^ 5-10, 185, 4.3, Piqua, OH
Which is pretty much the same stratospheric region in which Emfinger ranks Jimmy (gift from the Gods) Clausen as a QB.
