Unfortunately, it had to be killed for it's growth rings to be counted and the discovery of its incredible age to be facilitated. I think that's the definition or irony, no? :biggrin:

On another note, I had NO IDEA freaking clams lived that long!
 
In aout a month you will probably be able to buy some of it. mmmm....mmmm....good :biggrin:
