Towson Basketball Losing Streak

Can't imagine losing that many in a row... how does a program continue to survive when you're dealing with that kind of ineptitude?
getting your education paid for is a nice incentive for a player who might not be able to play in a big-time program. It certainly is probably better than paying off a student loan:(

Baltimore's finest.

OSU beat them in the first round of the NCAA tourney one year. So many useless facts in this stupid head. :smash:

You beat me to it.

They were going by "Towson State" back then.

Yes I understand but I mean from a department's standpoint... when does enough become enough and you decide to stop spending on a program that isn't competitive anymore?

Savannah State had a winless season earlier this century and went 12-138 over a 5 year span.

They hung in there, presumably with the money they got while getting destroyed by big boy programs, and have now had 5 straight double digit win seasons. Hell, one year they even finished a game over .500.

They're 10-10 this year and in 3rd place in the MEAC, so while they'll never be a serious contender they have shown you can battle back to being a competitive program.

Well, at least it gets the players the heck out of Baltimore for the away games. If I had to go to Towson, I'd find that highly attractive.

Isn't the winner of the MEAC usually a .500 club or only a couple games over?

Most of the time they enter the tourney as a #15 or #16 seed

and some idiot for Towson slams the ball down and yells at the opposing player after the dunk. Clearly a Technical and outright ridiculous.

Hey, kid, you've lost 41 in a row. No right to show anyone up.

Edit- somehow it wasn't called. Or. I don't know. Wasn't really paying that much attention. But, yeah, whatever. Towson wins. Hooray.
