Game Thread tOSU vs. Western M*ch*g*n, Sep 26 2015 @ 3:30 ET, ABC/ESPN2

Agreed. CJ had a great performance today, yet you'd think he threw for 47 yards, given all the ridiculous "UNDERTHROWN AGAIN?" posts. Then, JT comes in and promptly does the same, and follows that up with a pick, and there's crickets.

The deep ball is the only thing CJ does better than JT. If he can't make those deep throws, he becomes a liability compared to JT. Plus, if CJ is getting the 1st team reps, JT is likely to be rusty, so he gets more of a pass.

CJ did have a much improved game today. Seeing so many open guys consistently underthrown is just frustrating. Against better compitition that could easily cost us.

Well, yeah, Cardale threw for 288, but he could have thrown for 450. LOL. He'll make adjustments. This team is getting better.

From what I've seen we've got too many guys who are playing out of position

Samuel is an RB not WR
Marshall is a slot guy not any outside guy
Feels like a lot of our starting guys are converts to their position at the skill positions

It's a monster problem to have to try and deal with when you essentially have two "platoons" worth of starters.

Too much depth is an issue when it's not as simple as numbers on a depth chart.

Yeah, it's not that he had a bad game, but he should be able to connect on a few long passes, and OSU will need to if they're going to beat good teams.

Exactly. The people saying CJ had a "great" game today are stretching it a bit and JT was playing with back ups. But in the end, it was a much better TEAM performance than last week, which is the most important thing.

Bring on the B1G! :gagnam:

The deep ball is not the only thing Jones does better than Barrett. He's better at stick throws b/c he can get it there before the CB can break and he's better at intermediate/deep ins and intermediate/deep outs

Apparently I'm in the minority, but I like PJ Fleck.
I like him too
