If CJ Walker was out of bounds on that last possession, there would never be a ball get saved from going out of bounds by having a player leap from in bounds to over the out of bounds part of the court and throwing it back in. This logic was lost on all three broadcasting the game and apparently their support staff.

Wagner shot 2-for-10 and his last 2 fouls both gave the Buckeyes And-1s. And the announcers fondness for him reminded me of Mad King Ludwig of Bavaria, who admired the composer with the same name. A crazy love-fest.

Meanwhile Dickinson was probably at a 85% scoring clip when he got the ball down low, and his scores lead to fouls and opponent elimination

It was kind of Juwan to Lane Kiffin themselves.

For those that only listened, did his feet stay in, but they were arguing his momentum carried him out in-between dribbles?

Too bad we didn't close vs Illinois we would be in line for a #1 seed still.

Odds are even a win over Illinois or Iowa tomorrow won't affect the bracket they have showed over the years that Sunday means nothing when coming to seeding.

I realize you're conditioned to expect one seeds given your favorite team, but this team has proven pretty emphatically that they are not one.

And if you're going to sub in this team for Kentucky, you have to realize that or you'll miss the entire season. This isn't anything like the prime oden or sullinger teams that were on par with the blue bloods. This is a scrappy team that punches up, and does so in such dramatic fashion that the regression down the stretch is painful.

They are who they are.

Which is what makes yesterday's gritty win even more impressive, particularly without young to bang down low in a severe mismatch. They are who they are at this point, and digging out of a hole to keep that 2 seed is quite an accomplishment.

And they may just sweep the b1g tourney despite those flaws.

No, when they looked at the replay from along the baseline zoomed in everyone could see that his heel never touched down so he wasn't actually out and agreed it was a bad call.

At least, if you're asking those of us that watched what happened in video-land. If what you said was the reasoning given on the radio broadcast, I have no idea.

The out of bounds was a bad call but also an understandable one, at least.

Walker shouldn't have gone down there to begin with, he makes some of the weirdest decisions in crunch time... but he didn't actually fail on the execution on that one. Just a bad and totally perplexing idea from the get that was asking for a turnover or empty possession, even if only by perception. I say that as someone who probably appreciates CJ more than some do, but it is obvious that he has some sort of late game mind blockage or something. For 90% of the game he usually plays like a senior PG and makes some nice plays and then at the end his brain instantly puddles and sweats out of his forehead.

Don't really know what Holtmann is supposed to do about that because better PG alternatives aren't really there.

They should have reviewed it, his heel was above the line and it didn’t look like the back half of his shoe came down to touch the line, but I’m not 100% sure they would have overturned it. If they had, the Buckeyes would have had the ball with about 28 or 29 seconds left, but only 12 on the shot clock. Who knows what would have happened.
