Game Thread tOSU vs. Sparty, Sat 11/21, 3:30pm ET, ABC

We can talk all we want about play calling, but they pushed through our line all night no matter what we called.

Makes it easier to call line stunts and exotic fronts when your QB is averaging less than 3 yards a pass play, you've only run your Heisman Trophy candidate (hurt or not) 12 times, and on top of only throwing it 16 times in the game against a more than suspect secondary (making Tommy Armstrong look like freaking Joe Montana at times), you only have a combined 29 carries as a team. Yes, this line from Sparty is good, but c'mon....your D gave up 17 total points. That moonwalks you guys into wins, normally.

I watched the same game as you and I'll drink you and every other motherfucker here under the table and call you a cab and still not be slurring my words.

You's a salty MF, :slappy:

Its one thing if your gameplan sucks and gets killed by the other team. It's another to not change it AT ALL throughout the game. There were some games were Herman did crap that wasn't working but he always changed it.
Has it gotten to the point (maybe it has) where HC's are just game managers and the quality of you're hires is the deciding factor? If so, why make a big deal about whether or not the HC wears a headset?

How can you blame the players? They weren't put in a position win and it's clear as day. There was a couple dropped passes but Elliot wasn't putting the ball on the turf. JT wasn't throwing it to the other team. Lee wasn't missing tackles. Bosa jumped offside a few times but hard to say he played bad.

Jesus fucking Christ.

Did you watch what was done to our offensive line tonight? We can talk all we want about play calling, but they pushed through our line all night no matter what we called. Don't do this "we beat ourselves" bull[Mark May]. Its petty. Grow the fuck up. I watched the same game as you and I'll drink you and every other motherfucker here under the table and call you a cab and still not be slurring my words.
Lol, go to bed. You're mad because I'm saying msu isn't a top 10 team without their top 10 NFL draft QB. You sound pretty silly right now. Footballs a team sport you know, right? And their defense? Look at the season. Not one game. Middle of the pack in the B1G.

I didn't think Meyer would hire a coordinator worse than withers. Boy was I wrong.

Well, I thought that I had successfully repressed that name. Thanks. And don't even mention that coach who lead the team while I was in the 43210... I'm still working that one deep into the recesses of my mind.

But there was a post earlier who suggested that coaches don't get fired... I am pretty sure that was a "you're fired, but we'll let you find another position so you can go out with grace" situation. I expect there is a strong chance of a sequel this offseason.

Urban is an offense-oriented coach. He's got a headset and a microphone and a laminated play chart. You think those are just props? This is his offense. He has the final say on offensive calls. None of that came as a surprise to him. He's puckered up in the past and ignored his star RB in favor of repeated, obvious, unsuccessful QB runs.

He's one of the best coaches in the game but nobody's perfect. There was a lot of playing not to lose tonight. (Still, though, twelve carries. I can't wrap my head around it.)

Dantonio is the real deal. Perfect gameplan. They win.

I'm not salty about the game. But I'll get salty if I'm getting called out for calling Dantonio's Sparty a good team. Dantonio is the real deal. If that's not a good team, then there ain't any good teams. I hate when people don't want to give other teams the credit they are due. They fucked us every way they knew how and that makes them a good fucking team. Because we are a good team. And they beat us.

And you didn't beat MSU @alexhortdog95. You won an asterisk!!!! 8D
