tOSU vs. #18 Maryland, Thur 2/6, 7pm EST, FS1

Great win last night. Love how they battled back and closed it out at home. We’ve lost 4-5 heartbreakers at home this year so hoping this is a confidence boost for this team.

Looking over the schedule a path to go 6-8 the rest of the schedule and get to 20 wins is very possible. That would be a strong resume and position us to get back into the tournament.
That's exactly how I looked at it in terms of the remaining schedule. We can turn this into a run if we keep our heads straight, meaning getting into the Tourney. We have a mixture of very good wins and bad losses, so we really just need to win the games we should win from here on out.

They have some guys that can hit some tough shots for sure, even the second half they were making some that weren't easy.
100, however, both teams looked pretty futile on offense the whole 2nd half until I decided to sacrifice for the better and turned it off. Maryland had seven consecutive offensive trips where they missed the basket before the 10-2 run that made it 57-44. Then I think they missed the first of a 1 and 1 the next trip after the seven straight. Losing 29-13 over the last 10 minutes or so, I'm guessing MD's offense stayed pretty ugly.

I have watched the final 7 minutes of this game 3 times now. Truthfully, Maryland pissed this game away at the foul line. But Ohio State, having very little going for it on offense, literally willed themselves to victory. These guys have a really unique combination of toughness, pick-up their teammates when they scew up, and calmness at crunch time. It really is an impressive thing that Diebler has going. Dating back to the Michigan State road game last year when they chipped away at big deficits slowly…..this game was similar.

Diebler just looks more confident and in control on the sideline than Holtmann was. Holt was probably cracking under the pressure of seeing his program slowly decline.

Good times ahead for these guys and us fans.

What an amazing comeback! Does anyone have the video clip of the ref touching the ball on its way out of bounds?
I never stopped watching, but I did ask myself a couple of times why I kept watching that train wreck. Their shooting was so bad early they couldn't have hit the ocean if they were standing in the surf. Fortunately they had more faith in themselves than I had in them at that point.
