Let's try that, until November we should alternate starting lineups for each game. I guess it's close because we will be alternating starting lineups by the half...

It ain't easy, bein' cheesy.
Unfortunately, I had tickets to a Phillies/Braves game last night and didn't get to watch (who schedules college football on Monday nights, anyways?). Nick Swisher (Buckeye) is a Brave, and one of their pitchers, Matt Marksberry is from Cincy. My son and I were sporting Buckeye jerseys and we gave them both O-H before the game during BP and they gave us I-O back, along with a "Go Bucks" from Swisher. My son spent the entire game running several rows down to the field to yell at Swisher about the score each time he ran by after an inning. I think he only heard him once, but it was fun anyway.

The numbers weren't pretty. Ohio State racked up 572 yards, the most a Hokies defense has given up since LSU rolled up 598 yards in a 48-7 win in 2007. The 360 yards the Buckeyes ran for nearly matched Miami's total of 364 last year when Duke Johnson and Co. had their way with Virginia Tech's defense. A year after harassing Ohio State with seven sacks, the Hokies didn't register a single one against a much-improved Ohio State offensive line. The Hokies' chances might have gone out the window when Brewer got hurt, but they probably wouldn't have had much of a shot anyway with the way Ohio State was moving the ball against Tech's defense in the second half.
"They did a great job with their protection," Foster said. "That was their whole deal. Instead of releasing their back, they were aggressive blocking our mike. We were probably over-concerned about them slip screening and draws. ... We folded our guys in. We were thinking more with all the guys out, quick screens and different things like that. And we probably outsmarted ourselves a little bit from that standpoint, as far as getting some edge pressure a little bit more. But they did a great job. They were aggressive in their protection, and they were much better than they were a year ago. Very little slide protection, which we were expecting quite a bit."
