2021 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Any thoughts on how the corona virus may impact recruiting timelines? I could imagine recruits and parents not wanting to get on a plane this spring. It could lessen the recruiting importance of the spring game and result in more visitors during the summer.

That is an excellent question, there has to be an impact dependent on how long this goes on............could see more local players signing closer to home this year........

Anecdotal, but...My son was just accepted to the University of Washington this fall, so I am keeping up on the goings on at UW. Despite the fact that King County is the epicenter of the COVID-19 outbreak in the US right now and that UW has all but closed campus and moved everyone to online courses, UW hosted a number of football recruits this weekend. It may have scared off some recruits and their parents, but it probably wasn't many.

Congrats to you and your son, excellent choice...my 2nd favorite university! My daughter lives in West Seattle and the view is unbelievable....out the front window you can see the seals frolicking in Elliott Bay with the Needle in the background, out the side you see the two stadiums, and rear view is Mt.Ranier.

Thank you. The UW campus is amazing, especially in a week or two when all the cherry trees will be blooming. Between hiking with the hiking club, exploring Seattle's culture with the light rail and bus systems, and dining at the remarkably diverse restaurants on University Ave. (the UW version of High Street, but the unsanitized High Street of 30 years ago), he will never have any excuse to be bored. I'll admit, I'm jealous.
