tOSU @ Indiana BMW Thread

1-10, 13 yds, int. Blew a 21-point lead in 1.5 quarters.

Which, fuck me, is better than blowing a 20 point lead in less than 1 quarter

What’s even worse is that he wasn’t some dewy-eyed kid — he was 25 year old in his 4th year in the program and had played a ton in the first 5 games of the season and still looked that unprepared.

Can anybody remember the last time OSU had to play a backup QB and he looked at shitty as Fahey did today?

I do remember in 1995, we were up 56-7 against Iowa at the half and Cooper emptied the bench at half and Stanley Jackson looked completely clueless. But he was playing with backups against a 1st string defense.
Posted this in the game thread, but stop with the ripping of Fahey.

Need to give the young man a break. I’m sure he wasn’t prepared at all during the week. Got thrust into a pressure cooker situation. Play calling was suspect. OL was not helping.

I’m not sure what more he could have done in that situation.

Pressure isn’t going down and OL isn’t getting any better though.

I am hopeful but it’s just hope. No real reason for it.

2 weeks of prep time. A game plan designed to his strengths and time to gel with the ones. Don’t know who our QB coach is anymore but get to work.

Time for our OL coach to get his shit together. Disappointed for sure in what we’ve seen so far this year.

He looked terrible.

It's not the expectation of a backup QB at a top 5 program.

You want a break? Play in the MAC

Probably not the place, but heard one talking head (an ex-coach, I believe) that opined that there's not enough reps during the week for QB1, versus spooling up QB2. Coaches probably should acknowledge that the QB (only one on the field...) should have a valid back-up ready to go? Thought they always had one on deck, ready to go in. Fahey looked pretty darned scared out there, not saying that TSC would have done better, but betcha that BOTH Qbs will get reps over the next two weeks. Might even bet vcash that both will get minutes against SC....Anyone betting that 3 losses will get into the Football dance? Texas, also a former #1 got its second loss (in a row, no less) and will get at least one more this year. tOSU avoided loss #2, but might get one or two more, unless Sayin rebounds quickly and completely. Just a thought.

All this may be true, but if Frehey is the the startert for a while OSU is in trouble
