About ~80% of the posts aren't though.

That's more frustrating to me than the players playing the game. Maybe it's time to find something else to do during games, watching entitled and self-important fans (not talking about you personally) bitch and moan about shit they only have a tenuous understanding of has really made the former enjoyment of posting here during games fade away to basically nothing more than something to do during a game.
I learned a long time ago that I enjoy the games much more if I stay away from the game thread until the game is over, and then I just go to the latest posts instead of going to the beginning of the thread. Still see some idiotic posts but at least I see a lot fewer of them.

Way Too Late Statistical Breakdown

Words…words…words
Vegas has the line at -14.5 Buckeyes. They are figuring in location (Madison) and location on the schedule (post PSU). Otherwise, this one is not that close.
...especially if that running game turns the corner
I think the running game turned a corner

kudos to Ryan Day for stubbornly hammering at it until it started to work

Still a ways to go, but they’ve showed more improvement than I dared to hope for; now I actually believe that they can get where they need to go

Thank God that Ryan Day has already shown the ability to develop a quarterback, cuz… ya know…

That's on the coaches. They have the talent.

It's NOT the OL. Ryan Day has forgotten 90% of everything he used to know about play calling since he became the head coach.

This is the same dude who orchestrated back-to-BACK 50+ performances against TTUN. And now it's a miracle when he beats freaking Wisconsin 24-10 when they don't have their starting QB or RB.

Last year's offensive tackles are starting in the NFL now, and I saw enough whiffs by the current bunch tonight to suggest they are not at that level, at least not yet. Also, the three QBs who preceded McCord were first round draft picks in the NFL. McCord is not at their level, but he doesn't suck either.

What you're seeing now is Day with a lesser OL and a lesser QB. He hasn't "forgotten" anything. He doesn't have the same talent he had before (also, those 50 burgers vs TTUN were before they started cheating), so adjust expectations accordingly. Or just rant like a banshee when you don't get the blowout you wanted. The choice is yours.

Last week I called out a good handful of shitty posts (and one non shitty post accidentally). This week I'll take a different route. Shout out to the MVP (Most Valuable Poster) of the Wisconsin game thread: @Jake . Appropriately critical when it was called for, without being negative Nancy. Be more like Jake during game threads, guys.

@Mike80 , I 1000000% know where you're coming from. The hyper critiques get old, and they overshadow legit critiques.

Is this the part where we call you an elitist prick 8D

Not his fault.

He had no time to do anything.
Have you ever considered the possibility that Kyle has no time to do anything because of the structure and formation of the offense? When they line up in 21, they run it like 80% of the time. When they line up in 11, they pass it 80% of the time. They haven't called play-action in YEARS. They called the first Counter-Trey tonight for the first time that I can remember since Urban was still coaching.

Would any other coach in America struggle like this with MHJr, Stover and Henderson?

Is a question I often find myself asking myself.

I just don't get it anymore. I'm exasperated and out of anything approaching an answer.

Our last three QBs were first round draft picks. McCord is not. Two of last year's OTs are starting in the NFL. Our current OTs would not.

I hope this helps a little. QB and OL are kind of important. Day didn't just suddenly forget how to score points.
