Buckeyes head to Camp Randall having won 10 straight in the series since the Badgers knocked off the #1 Buckeyes up there in 2010.

Of course, one of those 10 wins was by the score of 59-0.

Ohio State Opens Favored by 28.5 Points Over Wisconsin After Buckeyes Beat Illinois and Badgers Shut Out at Home Against Iowa

Good teams win, great teams cover.

That's exactly what Ohio State did in a 34-16 win over Illinois yesterday, and that result has led to the Buckeyes being favored by over four touchdowns next weekend as OSU opens in the betting market as 28.5-point favorites over Wisconsin.

FanDuel published the opening line on Sunday following Ohio State's win and an embarrassing shutout loss for the Badgers at home to Iowa by a 37-0 final score. The outcome dropped Wisconsin to 2-4 on the season as supporters of the Badger football program grow increasingly frustrated with head coach Luke Fickell.

This is the largest spread between these schools since at least 1999 by a wide margin. The second-largest took shape in 2022 when the Buckeyes found themselves favored by 19 points at home — 9.5 points less than next weekend's current line — and ultimately won by a 52-21 final score.
The current spread also would tie the Ohio game for the second-highest OSU has seen this season if it remains as such to close. Ohio State's money line price tag of -10000 would be its highest so far this season, given sportsbooks refused to publish one for the Grambling State game.

The total opened at 41.5 points, which would be the lowest for any Buckeye football game so far this year if it holds. It would also serve as the second-lowest line for an over/under between OSU and Wisconsin since 1999, with only the 2004 meeting having a lower projection at 36.5 points. The Badgers won that game 24-13, which cashed the over by half a point.

Sorry, Luke. I'm rooting for you, but not this week.

'Fire Fickell' chants return to Camp Randall Stadium during Wisconsin Badgers' slow start vs Iowa

Before the first quarter was even over against Iowa, the frustrated Wisconsin Badgers crowd in Camp Randall Stadium was back to calling for Luke Fickell's job.

Fickell's seat is red hot right now, and with games against No. 1 Ohio State and No. 2 Oregon next on the schedule, it won't be cooling down anytime soon.

Just sayin': After Ohio State and Oregon, Bucky then plays Washington, Indiana, Illinois, and Minnesota. "Fick", needless to say, you should have never left Cincinnati.

You boys will be able to name the score this week. Fickell is a dead man walking and the team is playing like it.
Fickell is going to be the next Cleveland Browns quarterback.
Fickell fired first.
Marylin Monroe is living on an isolated island with Luke Fickell.
Only Luke Fickell knows the true shape of the earth.
The moon is hollow and Luke Fickell knows that Bigfoot lives there.
Fickell is Archduke Ferdinand's real assassin.

I went over to the 247 Wisconsin board to take the temperature of the Badgers. Mostly what you would expect, but there was one thread that was so genus, that I thought it could actually happen.

The thread title?

"Fire Fickell, Hire Franklin"
Wisconsin fans would kill for 9-10 wins a year. As much as Penn state needed to fire Franklin, he had a pretty good 11 year run. The wheels fell off this year when he made 2 bad coordinator hires.

He got a really good OC that runs a system that they don’t have a players to run. (They don’t have the players to run much on offense) He had an elite defense that has held through several coordinators and brought one in that completely changed it up. He took a bunch of players that were borderline elite playing a more traditional defensive system, flipped it on its head and made them all change how they play.

Franklin isn’t a HC for a team that wants to compete for national titles, but is a HC that just wants to be in the playoffs every discussion. Similar to how Bert is a great fit at Illinois and was a great fit at Wisconsin.
