Game Thread tOSU at USC, Sat. Oct. 31st, 7:30 pm ET, NBC

I keep going back and forth on this game. Granted I'm the kind of fan who is nervous and looks at the worst case before games  . True freshman QB on the road in the rain is not ideal

Honestly its the defense vs far and away the best passing attack they have seen so far that worries me.

I think QB will not be a huge negative unless he starts turning it over. If that happens then we are screwed no matter what.

I just don't like the set up to this. Riley on the hot seat, USC looked like garbage in a loss last week....urgency, redemption, desperation...pick your motivator and the talent is there if it decides to show up and play. A lot of the USC guys are OSU caliber talent.

Expect an offense like Texas last year. They will give him one maybe two reads and a very limited playbook. He has the best player in the country to throw too, as well as several other recievers that will be playing in the NFL. Sadly the running game has been a little suspect, but I do think if he can pull a few early for first downs it will open up the run game. Thankfully USCs defense is dogshit.

Prediction. 35-17. Fahey Throws for 4tds. #4 goes for 150yds and 2tds. Tightends will be used early and often, using 4 as a decoy for easy completions. Bo pounds one in late. Defense stifles them.
My prediction is 28-24 Ohio State. I know USC has some issues of their own, but a new QB in a night game on the road is not going to get off to a great start imo. I love the mention of the TE use though - our heavy use of the position should pay off to help a young QB with his first start. Check down to those solid TEs young man, they're pretty dang good this year. Maybe Roberts has a breakout game?

Defense has to really bring it, offense has to count on them and not press. No Timmons hurts big time, someone like D. Kelly has to step up there in his place. Not going to lie, a tad nervous about this one on the road at night without Sayin, but think we'll still pull out the win.
