Issue is never the starting... it's the cancelling
Ahhh. That's much easier with most streaming services than people say. Just go to your account page and use the cancel button or link. No phone calls or anything. Most services will also notify you by email a couple days before your renewal is due in case you forget about it. I jump around a bunch of the different streaming services all the time and have never spent more than 60 seconds cancelling one. Or as was stated earlier, once you sign up, cancel right away. You'll get the month you paid for and don't have to worry about forgetting to do it. Once you pay for it, you still get access to the entire month you paid for even if you cancel before the due date.

Bill DeMora, a state senator from Columbus, told the Columbus Dispatch on Friday that he plans to introduce legislation that would prevent public colleges and universities in Ohio from airing sporting events exclusively on paid streaming services.

DeMora told the Dispatch that he believes publicly funded universities like Ohio State should be required to provide a local viewing alternative when games air on paid streaming services.

"I've heard from a lot of folks that are pissed off that the local bar doesn't have the game or they have to spend X amount of money to buy one football game on this Peacock network so they can watch Ohio State," DeMora said.

So how does being on Peacock really differ from games that are on networks that aren't OTA and you have to pay for cable or another provider to get? Granted you are paying an additional fee, but many cable providers give a Peacock subsription to their subscribers. I remember I did when I still had Spectrum. ( I use YouTubeTV now)
