Ohio State could win by 30 and people would still bitch. It's what this fanbase does. Self-loathing and whatnot.
I make a yearly observation around this time of year that most of the "fans" that inhabit Ohio State fandom wouldn't survive a 2002-type year.
The key is to survive and advance. 1 point or 30 points, doesn't matter.
WHAT?! You don't think running every single play through your HBack in 2024 is a solid performance? What about when he snaps the ball and then runs out for a TD in the most obvious "this is what's about to happen" play ever?they haven't put together what I would call a solid performance on offense all year
Things were tempered early on that year by Braxton going down and especially after the Virginia Tech loss early on. there were some fun games in there too - beating up on Sparty, beating scUM wasn't uninspired as much as scUM was playing well above their heads, etc....Hell, could we survive a 2014? Maybe since expectations were lower, but 2OT at 7-6 PSU, close game against Minny, losing to a bad Indiana team until the 4th, very uninspired play vs Michigan. Doesn't mean anything will turn out well this year, but I'm trying to think back and I guess the overall expectations and criticism of scheme/development was a lot lower. That defense got turnovers and sacks, but gave up a lot of big plays and 22 ppg. The offense has stagnated until they were forced to adapt to Cardale.

Ultimately, the 2002 team played well above its expectations. MoC had a lot to do with that, as he gave that offense an element it didn't have in 2003 (for instance).
Absolutely.Still hate Hoke, but he got every drop of talent out of his teams when they played OSU. And he did it without being a sniveling cheating POS.
Eh I don’t think this is the case this year thoughDani Dennis-Sutton. Don't get your hopes up, those dudes are plug and play.

After 2014 Urban became a lightning rod for criticism…sorry ppl it comes with job ..even if it’s stupid.Hell, could we survive a 2014? He shouldn’t be defeated if he’d of set expectations better. If it’s NC or failure are the only two outcomes he is defeated. “We hope to be healthy in the mix at the end of the year,” Better message…Day sounds defeated in this presser
There's criticism and then there's being a bunch of spoiled whiny bitches. After 2014 Urban became a lightning rod for criticism…sorry ppl it comes with job ..even if it’s stupid.
