Backup quarterback Charest leaves Illinois
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) -- Illinois spokesman Kent Brown says backup quarterback Jacob Charest has left the school.
Details about the sophomore's decision and his plans weren't immediately
available.
Ron Zook last week named redshirt freshman Nathan Scheelhaase (SHEEL'-hows) his starter over Charest and freshman Chadler Whitmer.
Charest is from Mathews, N.C. He played in four games last year as a redshirt freshman. He completed 50 percent of his passes for 382 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. He started two of those games.
The move leaves Illinois with Scheelhaase, Whitmer and freshman Miles Osei (OH'-say) at quarterback.

CFN's Front Page said:After being one of the nation's biggest disappointments, Illinois has just enough experience and more than enough talent and athleticism to bounce back and be one of the Big Ten's surprises if star LB Martez Wilson is back and healthy. Check out the CFN Illinois Preview
9. Illinois Fighting Illini
Predicted Finish
5-7 (3-5)
Two-Cent Overview
A more passing-oriented offense has been installed thanks to new offensive coordinator Paul Petrino. New quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase is just a redshirt freshman, and has been lauded for his maturity?though some wide receivers still need to emerge in order to help him out. Fortunately, there are two good running backs returning running behind a mostly veteran offensive line. The defense returns a lot of starters, but even beyond that, they are finally returning some experience at every position and reliance upon freshmen will be minimal.

But I can't take it anymore.
I'm calling it.
I know I've "called it" before... but this game is BEGGING for it.
The Buckeyes have NEVER had a play of 90 or more yards in their history.
NEVER
Do I smell a vBet ? Because I am in! I think some odds should be put up...besides...my prediction is Berry
That [censored] changes against the Illini next week. Mark it down.
