It's tough getting used to fast-paced football. We're used to seeing tough defense, but when the pace is this fast - so many plays being run by both teams - it turns into a shoot out more than ever these days. A "win" on defense now is holding the other team to a FG, more often than not.

Same early season defensive issues as last year. Have to hope they correct it like they did last year.

Oh by the way, Purdue leads Notre Dame 10-3 in the 3rd quarter.

We are showing some strength on offense but serious weakness on defense. Come on guys toughen up right now

Well, we lost most of the front 7 for starters. But, same issues as early last year tackling wise...and some silly penalties on top of that.

Yeah - a lot of reaching/grasping and launching. They just don't wrap up well.

It's really disappointing because they were doing so much better down the stretch last year.

Bosa looks like a lot like Mike Vrabel.

With us changing uniform numbers every game this season coach Vrabel should give him his 94 for a few weeks.

Defense isn't perfect, but they've held them to 0 points on 5 drives.. For most games, that would be considered fantastic, but due to pace, these kinds of scores are the result at times.

If the frosh were out their missing tackles i could understand it but they aren't

Always been that way for us since Springs and Winfield graduated. The short, dink and dunk passing game goes down the field on us. The tackling is making it a lot worse right now. Has to be fatigue because they started a whole lot better.
