I like! Though I wish they did something with Air Max or Jordans

Yeah, the Air Max 90 would translate well. I’ve not had Nikes for a LONG time. Primarily been in Ultraboosts for the last five years or so. They fit my feet well and the quality has been exceptional. When I’m done using them for working out, they become very capable kick around shoes. I did have a pair of Pegasus probably around 7-8 years ago. They were comfortable but broke down pretty quickly. I don’t intend to work out in these… more just a pair of cool kicks.

I did own the original Air Pegasus back in the 80s. It could be based on what was available at the time, but I consider those to be top-5 I’ve owned in terms of comfort and I did put a lot of miles on them in cross country. But again, 80s running shoe technology wasn’t even close to what we have now.

But yeah, they could have done a Max 90 and I would have jumped on those too. Probably not so much the Jordans though. I HATE basketball shoes. Don’t care what other people wear, but they are just too flipp’n heavy. Give me a pair of Stan Smith’s any day for leather kicks. And yes, I was excited when Adidas brought back the Stans. I was in Normandy a number of years ago and found them over there before they released them (again) in the US. Still have them (original green trim) as well as a pair with the navy trim. LOVE them.

I hear you on the basketball shoes. But I for one look damn good when I wear the Gym Red 11s or the Cherry 11s with OSU gear. But like you said, to each his own. We’ll still rooting for the Buckeyes

You can’t really support your Ohio State Buckeyes from head to toe without some new kicks can you? Yeah, that’s what we thought. Luckily, Nike’s got you covered with the release of the Air Max today.

Just in time for football season.

This is a really limited drop - Nike is only releasing the shoes in colorways for 11 NCAA teams in 2024. They are:

Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Oregon, Oregon State, Penn State, Tennessee and Texas.
