YouTube - Ohio State Vs. Michigan 2008 Highlight Video

:oh:

McGuffie getting popped at 2:10.

I could watch that play for five minutes in a loop with Nessler's concerned cry, "Oh!" over and over again. Slow it down, speed it up, just loop it like the Zapruder film clip during the courthouse scene at the end of JFK.

Notice McGuffie's head here, back and to the left. Back. And to the left. Back. And to the left.

From mgoblog:

Discipline against Pryor. Tougher to stick to receivers because he might need help. Tougher to stick to receivers for longer. Posey - made some big plays with Pryor. Try to minimize that, make them earn it. Sanzenbacher started year as Pryor's go-to guy. Duron Carter is good too. Contain all three of those and the RBs.

So contain Pryor, Posey, Sanzenbacher, Carter, and either Herron, Saine, Hall, or Martin and they'll be good to go.

I've been waiting for The Game all year long, right after 42-7 beating in Columbus. This is Ohio State football's true purpose, which is going out and give it all they have to beat That School Up North!

Who cares about USC? Who cares about the Rose Bowl? Who cares about being in Final Top 10? All of that is irrelevant, if Ohio State, god forbid, loses to Michigan.

Go out and show the world what being a Buckeye truly means!

How important is Saturday's Ohio State game to Rich Rodriguez's future in Ann Arbor?
According to ESPN's Michael Wilbon, it might be too late.
Monday on Tony Kornheiser's radio show, Wilbon pronounced Rodriguez done at Michigan -- and Charlie Weis the same at Notre Dame.
"I had a solo conversation with someone who is affiliated with the current coach at Michigan, and he does not believe for a second that he'll be back," Wilbon said.
When Kornheiser said a coach with Rodriguez's r?sum? surely should get another year to right the program, Wilbon stuck by his source.
"I was stunned by this conversation, which was Saturday, an hour-and-a-half after that (Wisconsin) game," Wilbon said. "And he says that he would bet me right now -- took his wallet out and threw it down -- that this is not going to happen.
"I'll just tell you, this guy played for Rich Rod.

I got chills watching that video. They say that football is our religion in Columbus. I don't think so. It is our culture and The Game is where that culture reaches its highest expression.

This is what RichRod will never understand.

Football is Columbus.

Hell, football is Ohio. Even those little circus geeks in Cincy get it.

This state lives and breathes it. From the Bucks, to the Browns to the Beatcats and Bengals. We're united by the underlined factor that is this game. It is a celebration, a ritual, a passage and a way we live.

For me, and for many of us, there are two parts of a year. Football season, and the off-season. I'd have it no other way.
