TorrentSpy ordered to start tracking visitors

For those of you who use Torrents for downloading, looks like you should avoid TorrentSpy from now on.

TorrentSpy, a popular BitTorrent search engine, was ordered on May 29 by a federal judge in the Central District of California in Los Angeles to create logs detailing users' activities on the site. The judge, Jacqueline Chooljian, however, granted a stay of the order on Friday to allow TorrentSpy to file an appeal.

For those of you who use Torrents for downloading, looks like you should avoid TorrentSpy from now on.

They might as well just shut the bloody thing down and let another site take the traffic.

Meh. I only use TorrentSpy for hard-to-find [strike]porn[/strike] CDs anyway.

If Demonoid gets shut down though, I might actually have to start buying things.
