a little help?

So I downloaded and installed the divX codec, and then downloaded The Game this morning. However, when I tried to play it tonight, the file opens but the video is incomprehensible. Can anyone provide assistance?

I was wondering if some one could help me out with how to burn the game onto a dvd. I have the games downloaded and they play fine, I used WinAVI to convert the files, but when I use the dvd ripping software there is nothing inside my alamo bowl folder or OSU vs scUM folder. The folders are present, but after opening them to place each half in the software to be burned onto DVD there is nothing inside the folder as in the games themselves. This is all new to me, so any help is appreciated. Thanks.

when you open the folder make sure the program is looking for "all files" in the folder and not a specific kind. It may be looking for a different type of file other than what the game is. It may be looking for AVI but the file is MPEG or vice versa. Try that and see if it works.

Any way to get the OSU vs UM Fiesta bowl?:biggrin2:
Thing is we kinda want to steer clear of the games that were retail dvds... that can make a big headache for us and shut down this whole undertaking, and perhaps even BP.

If we stick to game recordings off of TV where no one is profiting, we should be ok.

I would think anyone with DVR would have deleted that game as quickly as they could...

For some reason the 04 MSU game won't rip completely on my main computer so I gotta do it on my other one which is about half the power. So yeah...it's gonna take twice as long. Hopefully I'll have them ready to upload tomorrow afternoon.

This is going to get some dings possibly but any chance I can get the Northwestern game up. I don't want to relive the game either, but it was me and my GF's first date so would be fun to give here the dvd of where we were as an anniversary gift.

I have an extra copy of the game on DVD if you want it.

Hey, Thanks to all who have made this happen, I don't have a 24/7 computer yet but will in the future to help out.

When I download the codec, do I have to execute it or place it in a certain folder? I can play the game but get no video. Ran Gspot and it said that I have all the correct codecs for playing the file but when the game comes up it goes out to the web and searches for the codec anyway. Any help would be appreciated. The audio quality of the download is great.:wink2:
